Friedrich Hauschildt

Friedrich Hauschildt (* 1950 in Einfeld , Neumünster ) is a Lutheran theologian . From 2000 to 2015 he was President of the Office of the VELKD and from 2007 as head of the Public Responsibility Department, one of the Vice-Presidents of the Church Office of the EKD .

Live and act

Friedrich Hauschildt studied theology in Kiel and Göttingen from 1968 to 1972. In 1974 he finished his vicariate in Copenhagen and Kiel and worked on his dissertation on the ethics of Søren Kierkegaard . From 1976 to 1985 Hauschildt was pastor of the North Schleswig congregation in Feldstedt in Denmark. In 1985 he moved to the VELKD church office as a consultant for fundamental theological issues before becoming director of studies at the seminary in Celle in 1991 . In 1998 he was appointed to the college of the regional church office in Hanover , where he became the regional church councilor for the areas of worship , church music and denominational ecumenism . In 2000 Hauschildt was appointed President of the Church Office of the VELKD and, in 2007, as head of the Public Responsibility Department, one of the three Vice-Presidents of the Office of the EKD. He retired in July 2015.
