Friedrich Heinrich Ludwig Wilhelm von Trott zu Solz (born November 10, 1794 in Marburg , † September 12, 1855 in Solz ) was a politician and minister in the Electorate of Hesse .

Life

Trott's father was Wilhelm Friedrich von Trott zu Solz , Chief Appeal Judge , and his mother was Charlotte von Porbeck. He was married to Friederike Christiane Charlotte Emilie von Baumbach (1799–1871) since 1822. The marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter. The son Friedrich von Trott zu Solz (1835-1894) became the Prussian Consistorial President in Kassel .

Friedrich von Trott studied at the Philipps University of Marburg from 1811 and continued his studies at the Georg-August University of Göttingen from 1813 . In 1814 he volunteered in the France campaign as part of the Wars of Liberation . From 1821 he was active as a senior judge in Kassel and from 1825 he was the head of the noble founders Kaufungen and Wetter . In the years 1830–1832 and 1838–1848 he sat for the donors in the Hessian Estates Assembly and was its President in 1831/32 and 1847/48.

In February 1832 the prince elector and co-regent Friedrich Wilhelm appointed him provisional director of the Ministry of Justice, after his replacement by Ludwig Hassenpflug , on May 16, 1832 foreign minister. He held this office until March 1836. In 1850 he was appointed electoral Hessian ambassador to the German Federal Assembly in Frankfurt am Main , and in 1852 he was also the ambassador in Darmstadt .
