Friedrich Kühnreich

Friedrich Wilhelm Johannes Kühnreich (born November 18, 1905 in Hellingen ; † November 14, 1983 in Würzburg ) was deputy Gauleiter in the NSDAP - Gau Mainfranken under Gauleiter Otto Hellmuth .

After attending primary school in Hofheim in Lower Franconia and Würzburg, he attended secondary school from 1915 to 1921 with a secondary school leaving certificate , then did a commercial apprenticeship at the Koenig & Bauer high-speed press factory in Würzburg. He was employed there from 1924 to June 1935. From 1921 to 1923 he was a member of the military association Reichsflagge , in September 1930 he joined the NSDAP (No. 293 969). From 1933 to 1938 he was councilor in Würzburg. In June 1935 he became (full-time) Gau managing director of the Gaus Mainfranken and on September 20, 1937 (appointment), on January 30, 1938 (confirmation) deputy Gau chief until April 1945 as successor to Ludwig Pösl . From March to October 1940 he served in the World War, from mid-1941 to mid-1944 was entrusted with the management of the NS district leadership in Würzburg, in 1939 he became SA Oberführer , in 1941 SA Brigadführer . in April 1945 he probably managed to escape to Austria .

He was interned on August 30, 1945 (Würzburg, Ochsenfurt , internment camps: multiple times in Hammelburg , Ludwigsburg , Camp 74 , Regensburg , Dachau , Aschaffenburg work detail ). On July 23, 1948, he was classified in group II ("burdened") by the camp judgment chamber , and on November 7, 1949 in group IV ("fellow travelers") by the Nuremberg Appeals Chamber.
