Friedrich Karl Fulda , from 1832 from Fulda , (born December 27, 1774 in Mühlhausen an der Enz ; † January 15, 1847 in Tübingen ) was a German political scientist and economist as well as professor and rector at the University of Tübingen .

He was the son of Friedrich Carl Fulda and was first married to Luise Friederike Hoffmann (1781–1806), a daughter of Christian Gottfried Hoffmann .

Life

Friedrich Karl Fulda studied camera sciences at the Karlsschule in Stuttgart from 1789 to 1794 . In 1794 he enrolled as a student. math. in Göttingen .

From 1798 to 1817 he was a full professor for camera sciences outside the Senate, from 1810 as a member of the Philosopher's Faculty and the Senate in Tübingen. From 1817 to 1837 Friedrich Karl von Fulda was a full professor for the theory of the state economy in the state economy faculty. In 1819/20 he was rector of the University of Tübingen. In 1837 he was retired.

His portrait, painted in oil in 1844, hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .

Awards

  • In 1817 he became Dr. phil. et Mag. art. hc from the University of Tübingen.
  • In 1832 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown excellent, which with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ) was associated.
