Friedrich Luebbert

Friedrich Lübbert (born March 26, 1818 in Bobzin ; † January 15, 1892 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a German military musician and composer.

Lübbert was a staff member and later music director in the 35th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army , which was initially stationed in the Luxembourg fortress . In 1863 he and his regiment were transferred to Brandenburg an der Havel . He composed the Helenenmarsch , with which he won first prize in the march compositions competition announced by the Berlin music publisher Bote & Bock in 1857 . Lübbert left the army in 1881 after 27 years of service as a military bandmaster.
