Friedrich Lehmann (lawyer)
Friedrich Lehmann (born November 5, 1888 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † July 9, 1960 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer in the municipal financial administration .
Life
Lehmann studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg , the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin and the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg . There doctorate he 1912 Dr. iur. and he passed the assessor exam in 1914 .
In the November Revolution he was demobilization commissioner and city councilor in Königsberg. Since 1920, the eunuchs , he brought to the Mayor Hans Lohmeyer , the city passed through the hardships of the German inflation 1914-1923 . Because of his good reputation as a financier, the indebted city of Frankfurt am Main appointed him city treasurer in 1932.
Retired in 1946, he continued to work in the city's academic life. He was involved in the Free German Hochstift and on the advisory board of the Frankfurt Museum Society . The law faculty of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main appointed him honorary professor in 1949 . On his 70th birthday, he received the Goethe plaque from the city of Frankfurt am Main .
