Friedrich Ludwig Huenefeld

Friedrich Ludwig Hünefeld (born March 30, 1799 in Müncheberg , † April 24, 1882 in Greifswald ) was a German physician , chemist and university professor .

Hünefeld was awarded Dr. med. doctorate and was then a private lecturer . In 1826 he was appointed associate professor for chemistry at the University of Greifswald . In 1827 he stayed for a year with Jöns Jakob Berzelius in Stockholm. In 1833, Hünefeld was appointed full professor of chemistry at the University of Greifswald. In 1831 he was given the supervision of the minerals cabinet in Greifswald.

In 1844 Friedrich Ludwig Hünefeld was elected rector of the university.
