Friedrich Otto Maass (born October 19, 1826 in Nordhausen , Province of Saxony , Kingdom of Prussia ; † January 9, 1896 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ) was an Austrian printer .

Life

Friedrich Otto Maass was born on October 19, 1826 in the town of Nordhausen in the province of Saxony in the Kingdom of Prussia. After attending grammar school in Nordhausen, he worked as an apprentice and assistant at various booksellers and music dealers. With the start of the March Revolution of 1848 had Maass, who in contumaciam to 20 years imprisonment was sentenced to flee and then led an eventful life before it in 1865.
