Friedrich Rabe

Friedrich Rabe (born December 4, 1941 in Magdeburg ) is a German politician ( PDS , Die Linke ). From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Education and life

Rabe attended elementary school from 1948 to 1956 and then the adult education center , the institute for teacher training and the pedagogical college . From 1956 to 1959 he completed an apprenticeship and from 1959 to 1963 his studies. From 1963 to 1971 he was a teacher at POS and EOS . From 1971 to 1976 he worked as a research assistant and from 1976 to 1978 as deputy director of the Stendal Medical School. From 1978 to 1986 he was director of the company academy for health and social services in Stendal. From 1986 to 1990 he worked as the district secretary or state manager of the People's Solidarity in Magdeburg and was a member of its main board.

politics

Rabe joined the SED in 1961 . With its transformation to the PDS in 1990, he became a member there. In the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 , he entered the state parliament via the state list. He did not comply with the recommendation of the parliamentary Stasi investigative committee to resign because of his previous work as an unofficial employee of the GDR State Security and ran again in the 1994 state elections. The intervention of party leader Petra Sitte prevented him from getting a promising place on the list. For many years he was the national spokesman for the Communist Platform in the PDS and is a member of the Federal Council of Spokespersons for the Communist Platform of the Left.

Private

Rabe is the father of one child.
