Friedrich Schmitthenner
Friedrich Schmitthenner (born May 25, 1876 in Bad Bergzabern / Pfalz , † September 7, 1945 in Bad Kreuznach ) was a developer of filter technology for food.
Friedrich Schmitthenner was from the Bad Kreuznacher Seitz works of the Prussian vine refinement station in Geisenheim / Rh. poached from Karl Kroemer as an employee . In 1913 he joined Seitz-Werke as head of the development department with a wine chemical and bacteriological laboratory. Schmitthenner was active in the field of wine chemistry; His special merit is the development of the first prefabricated filter from SEITZ-EK ( disinfection filter sheet ). The cold sterile filling made possible by this means that the wine cellar economy has been put on a new basis by means of a sweet reserve and sweet must preparation .
He was married to Olga Achert.
