Friedrich Stock (politician, 1913)

Friedrich Stock (born January 3, 1913 in Freudenstadt ; † March 10, 1978 ibid) was a German politician ( FDP / DVP ).

Life and work

After completing secondary school in Freudenstadt, Stock completed a commercial apprenticeship in his parents' company and then worked as a retail salesman in Stuttgart and Essen . From 1934 to 1945 he did Reich labor service and took part in World War II as a soldier , most recently as a lieutenant in the reserve. Later he was President of the Southwest German Retail Association and a member of the Presidium of the Main Association of German Retail .

Political party

Stock joined the Democratic People's Party (DVP) after 1945, which merged with other liberal associations to form the FDP / DVP in 1948. For a long time he was a local councilor and deputy mayor in Freudenstadt.

MP

In 1956 he was elected to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, to which he was a member until 1972. From 1964 to 1968 he was chairman of the FDP / DVP parliamentary group.
