Walter Nischwitz

Walter Nischwitz (born October 19, 1889 in Erfurt , † November 9, 1969 in Ellwangen ) was a German politician ( FDP / DVP ).

Life and work

After attending school, Nischwitz first completed a commercial apprenticeship. From 1911 to 1913 he studied political economy at the universities of Milan , Aachen and Dresden , worked as a foreign language correspondent in Stuttgart from 1914 and took part in the First World War as a soldier . After 1945 he worked as a business journalist in Stuttgart and was the publisher of Südwest-Merkurs .

After the Second World War , Nischwitz joined the FDP / DVP and was a member of the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden from 1950 to 1952 . From 1952 to 1964 he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and from 1960 to 1964 chairman of the FDP / DVP parliamentary group. He was also chairman of the district association of the European Union in Stuttgart.
