Friedrich Theodor Rinck (also Rink; born April 8, 1770 in Schlawe , Hinterpommern , † April 27, 1811 in Danzig ) was a German Protestant theologian , philosopher and university professor .

Life

His mother died giving birth and his father three years later. He graduated from the Philosophical Faculty at the University of Königsberg and obtained his master's degree in 1789 . In the same year he was admitted to the Philosophical Faculty as a private lecturer with a dissertation . In 1794 he was appointed associate professor in Königsberg. In 1799 he obtained his doctorate in theology and at the same time was appointed full professor of theology at the University of Königsberg.

In 1801 he went to Danzig , where he worked as a pastor at the Trinity Church and as a professor at the Academic Gymnasium . In 1810 he took over the post of rector. He died the following year.
