Friedrich von Busse

Friedrich Ernst von Busse (born August 14, 1828 in Harzgerode ; † May 28, 1916 in Zschortau ) was a conservative German politician and a member of the Reichstag .

Friedrich comes from the Busse family, who was raised to the nobility on September 3, 1811 . He was the son of the Anhalt mining commissioner Friedrich Rudolf von Busse (* September 16, 1787 - May 16, 1849) and his wife Friederike Wilhelmine Katharina, née Kirchhoff (* May 19, 1799 - December 14, 1878). His grandfather was the mathematician Friedrich Gottlieb von Busse .

Live and act

Busse attended the pedagogy in Halle (Saale) and then the artillery and engineering school in Berlin. He began his military career in 1849 as a lieutenant, was transferred to the Guards Cuirassier Regiment in 1858 and served as commander of the replacement squadron of Altmark Uhlan Regiment No. 16 in Salzwedel during the war against France in 1870/71 . Through his marriage in 1858 he became a landowner and chose the former as his place of residence in 1862 among his manors Zschortau and Nischwitz. Since 1896 he was chairman of the agricultural district council of the Bitterfeld and Delitzsch districts for twenty years. Before that, he had worked in the same position since 1869 for the agricultural association of the Bitterfeld and Delitzsch districts, which was subordinate to the district council, and after leaving this office he became honorary president. From 1896 to 1911 he was President of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Province of Saxony. He was also a district deputy.

From 1871 to 1874 he was elected to the Reichstag . He was sent there by the constituency administrative district Merseburg 3 (Delitzsch-Bitterfeldt). In the Reichstag he belonged to the conservatives . A second election to the Reichstag failed. From 1881 to 1889 Busse belonged to the Prussian state parliament.

He married Henriette Auguste von Laffert on May 6, 1858 (* November 15, 1836, † February 11, 1869). The couple had several children:

After the death of his wife, Friedrich married Hertha Luise von Rabenhorst (1847–1923), a daughter of the Saxon Minister of War Bernhard von Rabenhorst, on October 18, 1875 . With his second wife he had a son and a daughter:

  • Herta Wilhelmine Luise Helene (born December 28, 1876)
  • Friedrich Hans Bernhard (born August 27, 1879), became a planter in East Africa Kilole, Tanga (Kikombo (Bez.Mpapua))
  • Friedrich Adolf Leopold (born September 6, 1881) became the owner of the Matope plantation in East Africa
