Friedrich Gideon Gotthardt von Wallenberg-Pachaly (born August 18, 1878 in Breslau ; † September 25, 1965 ) was a German banker.

Life

family

Fritz von Wallenberg-Pachaly was the son of the banker Gotthardt von Wallenberg-Pachaly and Minna born. Gel packs. He was married to Geva zu Innhausen and Knyphausen , daughter of the President of the Prussian manor Edzard zu Innhausen and Knyphausen . They had three sons and a daughter.

His brothers-in-law were Dodo Prince of Innhausen and Knyphausen , a member of the Prussian mansion, the district administrator Dodo Freiherr zu Innhausen and Knyphausen and the manor owner and district administrator Maximilian von Asseburg-Neindorf .

Career

After attending high school in Wroclaw and the Knights Academy Brandenburg Fritz studied Wallenberg Pachaly at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law . In 1898 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . He did his military service as a lieutenant in the hussar regiment "King Wilhelm I." (1st Rheinisches) No. 7 . After completing his studies, he became a banker and partner in the Wallenberg, Pachaly and Comp. based in Breslau (see: Wallenberg-Pachaly-Palais ). This private bank became one of the most prominent victims of the collapse of Frankfurter Allgemeine Versicherungs AG (FAVAG) in the banking sector in 1931. The FAVAG scandal surrounding its general manager Paul Dumcke is now considered to be one of the triggers of the global economic crisis .

Von Wallenberg-Pachaly was the Swedish consul in Breslau. He was the owner of the manors Siebischau and Oberhof bei Schmolz , district of Breslau . After the Second World War he lived on Norderney .
