Friedrich zu Schaumburg-Lippe , full name Friedrich Georg Wilhelm Bruno zu Schaumburg-Lippe (born January 30, 1868 in Ratiborschitz Castle ; † December 12, 1945 in Sackisch ) was a German prince from the house of Schaumburg-Lippe and until 1945 the last owner of the Secondogenitur Náchod .

Life

Prince Friedrich was the son of Prince Wilhelm zu Schaumburg-Lippe and Princess Bathildis (1837–1902), the second daughter of Prince Friedrich August von Anhalt-Dessau and his wife Marie von Hessen-Kassel. On May 5, 1896, he married Princess Louise of Denmark (1875-1906), daughter of King Frederick VIII of Denmark . His wife Louise died as a result of meningitis . Three years later, on May 26, 1909, Prince Friedrich married Princess Antoinette of Anhalt (1885–1963), daughter of Hereditary Prince Leopold of Anhalt and Princess Elisabeth of Hesse-Kassel.

Nachod Castle

Prince Friedrich, the last owner of Nachod, was deported as a German citizen after the end of the Second World War on May 12, 1945 across the nearby state border to Sackisch in Glatzer Land , which fell to Poland after the end of the war in 1945 . There he died on December 12, 1945 in the "Vier Linden" inn. After consultation between the Polish and Czech authorities, his body was transferred to Nachod and quietly buried in the old military cemetery ( cemetery on the white cross in Nachod ) near the castle.

  • Leopold zu Schaumburg-Lippe (born February 21, 1910 - † January 25, 2006)
  • Wilhelm zu Schaumburg-Lippe (* August 24, 1912 - † March 4, 1938)
