Friedrichsanfang is a settlement in the Gotha district in Thuringia , which belongs to Crawinkel , a district of the city of Ohrdruf .

The hamlet of Friedrichsanfang is located on the edge of the northeastern roof of the Thuringian Forest on the steep transition to the field management level between Wölfis and Plaue near Arnstadt . The national roads 88 / 247 affect Crawinkel and Friedrichsanfang. The traffic situation is favorable, but the climate and soil conditions ( shell limestone weathering ) influence a better differential rent.
history
The hamlet was first mentioned in a document in 1750. This hamlet was initially a settlement of colonists in the Georgenthal office of the Duchy of Saxe-Gotha -Altenburg. It was founded under the care of the ducal forest administration. In 1780 there was an inn and three colonist houses. In 1858 the district administrator from Ohrdruf commissioned the municipality of Crawinkel to incorporate the existing houses with around 50 people. On January 30, 1858, the incorporation was completed despite resistance.
Since January 1, 2019, Crawinkel has been part of the city of Ohrdruf together with Friedrichsanfang.
