history

IF Friska Viljor was founded in 1905. The club, which is based in Norrland , initially focused on Nordic skiing sports such as ski jumping and Nordic combined . A football team was soon established at the club. Since Norrland initially did not participate in the Swedish league pyramid, the club played for the Norrländska Mästerskapet . The competition reached the final in 1943, which was crowned with a win against IFK Holmsund with the first title win in the club's history.

When the league pyramid was opened for all of Sweden in the 1952/53 season, the IF Friska Viljor football team was one of the founding members of the three Norrland seasons, which were integrated into the third division. In the second year of membership in the third division succeeded in 1954 in the relay Mellersta Norrland the relay victory , so that the team rose to the second division for the first time. As third from bottom of the table, the club missed relegation and rose again with IF Älgarna and Skutkärs IF . After the immediate re-emergence as the season winner, the club ended the season one point behind Gefle IF again on a relegation zone.

This time it took two seasons for IF Friska Viljor's soccer team to return to the second division as a season winner. In the second division season 1960 managed to stay sixth in the table. In the following season, the team occupied one point behind IFK Kalix again a relegation place and joined Sollefteå GIF and IFK Östersund again in the third division. The club then established itself at the third level. In 1966 he repeated the season victory and achieved fourth place in the subsequent second division season, the best club placement to date. 1968 IF Friska Viljor rose from the third division. There the team established itself in the middle of the table. In 1973 she won the season again, in the promotion round she missed the rise behind Gefle IF and Skellefteå AIK . In 1975 the club slipped into fourth division and thus disappeared for a long time from higher-class football.

In 1994 IF Friska Viljor split up and the individual departments of the association became independent. Friska Viljor FC started as a sixth division and won their season the following year. This was followed by the march into the third class within four years. As a newcomer, the club managed to stay sixth in the 1999 season in the Norrland season. After further midfield places, the club surprised in the 2003 season and moved into the promotion round to Superettan as the season winner.

The second division proved too strong for Friska Viljor FC. After six wins this season from 30 games, the club rose to the third division together with first division relegated Enköpings SK and co-promoted IK Brage . Here the team took eighth place and was thus the victim of a league reform, as the four third division seasons were concentrated into two seasons. In the fourth division, she missed promotion as seventh in the table and placed in the middle of the table in the following years. In 2009 the club ended the season on a relegation zone.
