The Fritz-Pflaum-Hütte is an alpine club hut of the Bayerland section of the German Alpine Club , located in the Kaiser Mountains in Tyrol .
location
The Fritz-Pflaum-Hütte is located in the Griesner Kar at 1,865 m above sea level. A. and is therefore the highest hut in the Wilder Kaiser, and is accessible all year round with an AV key.
history
The hut was named after the alpinist Fritz Pflaum , who was born in 1871. He was an enthusiastic nature lover, sportsman and lover of the Wilder Kaiser. On August 25, 1908, he died on a difficult tour. Relatives, friends and acquaintances then donated 8,000 marks for the construction of the Fritz Pflaum Hut, which was inaugurated on August 25, 1912, exactly four years after his death. It has since been renamed the Griesenkarhütte , but this never caught on . The attempt at simple hospitality in the spring of 2007 failed due to the ban by the district administration.
Approaches
Normal ascent from the Griesner Alm in the Kaiserbachtal over a well laid out path in numerous serpentines to the hut in 2½ hours (difference in altitude: 870 meters). The alternative is a seldom climbed path from the Fischbachalm , also located in the Kaiserbachtal, via the pine oil distillery and the Kleine Griesner Tor to the hut in 3 hours. This path is a little more demanding and can only be walked with surefootedness.
