Fritz Eckert (born September 7, 1877 in Wallefeld , † November 15, 1944 in Vlotho ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

After attending grammar school in Schleusingen, Eckert studied law in Munich , Erlangen and Bonn . During his studies he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity in 1899 . After completing his studies, he became an unskilled worker in the city ​​administration of Hagen in Westphalia and was a paid city ​​councilor for Remscheid from 1910 to 1916 . He took part in the First World War from 1914 until he was seriously wounded in 1916, most recently as captain of the reserve and company commander . In 1917 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . From 1917 to 1937 he was mayor of Moers . In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP .
