Fritz Fenzl (born January 31, 1952 in Munich ) is a German writer .

Life

Fritz Fenzl comes from a family of civil servants and studied among other things German and Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . The first state examination was followed by his legal clerkship in Berchtesgaden , after which he did his doctorate on Ludwig Thoma . For nine years he was head of the Munich literary archivemonacensia ”.

Fenzl teaches Catholic religion and German at the municipal Thomas-Mann-Gymnasium in Munich . He is divorced and has one grown daughter. Fenzl lives in Munich-Pasing .

Literary career

With dialect poetry, Fenzl advanced to become a member of the poets' association “ Die Turmschreiber ” in the mid-1970s . He wrote columns for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and received the cultural sponsorship award of the city of Munich in 1978. In 1994 he was awarded the Bayerischer Poetentaler . So far he has published around forty books (fiction, non-fiction) in publishers such as Rosenheimer and Nymphenburger . Fenzl supports the posthumous veneration of the Benedictine Father Frumentius Renner and has also addressed his alleged miracle activity in several books.
