Fritz "Freddy" Graack (born March 18, 1945 in Verden ) is a German drummer .

Live and act

Fritz Graack began early - as an autodidact - to learn to play the drums. After completing his training at Deutsche Post and serving as civil servant, he ended his civil servant career at the age of 22 and became a professional drummer. After Fritz Graack had his first appearance with the Hot Clarks in the legendary Hamburg Star Club in 1964, he increasingly used the opportunities to exchange ideas with other musicians, to perform and to improve his techniques. In the following years he toured mainly in Switzerland, Italy and France.

At the end of the 1960s, Fritz Graack moved back to Germany and joined the Tornados (one of the oldest rock bands in Schleswig-Holstein). Under the pseudonym Dorian Fleuris , Fritz Graack was also a member of the Candyfloss group in 1972, with which two successful singles were produced during that time. In 1973 Graack was a founding member of the Hamburg rock formation Lake . During this time, Lake was awarded with the album Paradise Iceland a gold record and in April 1977 the album Lake I the German Record Prize . In 1977 Fritz joined Mama Betty's Band and Hollywood (1977–1982).

In the 1970s Fritz Graack worked with musicians such as Jürgen Marcus , Dorte, Ireen Sheer , Hans Hartz , Ian Cussick , Martin Tiefensee, Anthony Ventura , Ian O'Brien-Docker , John Kincade and the Evans Sisters.

In 1980 he founded the blues and rock band After Midnight with Jürgen Behnke and Elmar Seeburger.

Between 1986 and 1991 Fritz drummer also worked for the Hans Dampf Band and from 1994 to 1999 for the Insiders. In 2003 he joined the Champagne Orchestra (2003-2008) and in 2004 Stainless. In addition to After Midnight, Fritz Graack has also been at Collegium Musicum e. V. actively committed.
