Fritz Hahne
Fritz Hahne (born April 15, 1920 - † June 28, 2008 ) was a German entrepreneur .
Life
In 1907, Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening founded a chair factory in Eimbeckhausen near Hanover, and they formed the company name Wilkhahn from the two names . The sons of the founders Fritz Hahne and Adolf Wilkening take over the chair factory in 1946.
Fritz Hahne headed the Wilkhahn company from 1946 to 1982 and reformed German entrepreneurship. In 1954, he introduced company pension schemes at Wilkhahn, as well as opportunities for employees to actively participate in the company's success. In the 1960s he worked closely with the Ulm School of Design ; together they set standards in product design . In 1971, Hahne introduced 50 percent profit sharing for employees. After retiring from day-to-day business, he was Chairman of the Wilkhahn Board of Directors and member of the board of the International Design Center Berlin from 1982 to 1994 . He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bauhaus Archives as well as the German Design Council in Frankfurt am Main .
