Fritz Hillemann (born January 8, 1922 ; † 2003 ) was a German football player. The left defender completed 81 games in the Oberliga West for VfL Bochum from 1953 to 1959 and scored one goal.

career

On May 1, 1938, Fritz Hillemann joined the VfL Bochum juniors . Hillemann played for the first team from the game round 1940/41 in the Gauliga Westfalen . During the turmoil of World War II , Hillemann was active as a guest player for Hamburger SV in the Gauliga Hamburg .

With Bochum Hillemann became champions of the 2nd Oberliga West in the 1952/53 season and rose to the Oberliga West. Ernst Koch had scored the Bochum club on April 26, 1953 in a 7-2 win in the catch-up game at the VfB Marathon Remscheid with five goals in the top division. Captain Hillemann played his first league game away on August 9, 1953 at FC Schalke 04 . Together with Erwin Schneider , Hillemann formed the defense at the Bochum Oberliga premiere. The team from Castroper Strasse had to admit defeat 1-0 by a goal from Hans Krämer in the 23rd minute. Bochum finished 8th in the table at the end of the 1953/54 season .

After Hillemann was no longer used in the major league round in 1958/59 , he ended his career in the summer of 1959. After his active career, Fritz Hillemann was head of the amateur department at VfL Bochum .
