Fritz Hofmann (politician, 1924)

Fritz Hofmann (born March 4, 1924 in Engelburg ; † May 24, 2005 in Burgdorf ) was a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

Fritz Hofmann completed his schools in Gossau and St. Gallen . He lived in Burgdorf and had two children. Professionally, he trained as a qualified agronomist at the ETH Zurich . From 1953 to 1967 he made a career at Butterzentrale Burgdorf. From 1968 to 1987 he was director of the Central Association of Swiss Milk Producers . From 1987 to 1992 he was President of the Bern Cantonal Bank .

Hofmann was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern in 1962 and to the National Council in 1971 , to which he was a member until 1987. From 1976 to 1984 he was President of the Swiss People's Party .
