Fritz Jungherr

Fritz Jungherr (born January 8, 1879 in Creuzburg , † February 28, 1948 in Bad Godesberg ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a district court advisor, Jungherr studied law in Jena , Berlin and Munich . During his studies, he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity in 1898 . In 1902 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD . After his legal clerkship , he worked at the Grand Ducal District Administration in Weimar in 1907 , then in 1908 as a magistrate's assistant in Greifswald and Potsdam . In 1911 he became district commissioner in Apolda , and in 1914 in Eisenach . In 1915 he became mayor in Bentzin , later in Zawiercie . He took part in the First World War, most recently as a non-commissioned officer . He was awarded the Iron Cross II . In 1918 he became district commissioner in Eisenach, then in Weimar. In 1919 he became district director in Eisenach. From 1924 to 1945 he was district administrator in the Gera district . In 1928 he became a senior councilor . He was a member of the Association of National Socialist German Jurists (BNSDJ) and district chairman of the Red Cross in Gera.
