Fritz Köster (theologian)

Fritz Köster SAC (born March 1, 1934 in Olpe ; † May 25, 2014 in Boppard ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian , pastor and religious ( Pallottine ).

Life

After entering the order he studied theology and was ordained a priest in 1961. Then he was deployed in Augsburg, Paris, Cameroon and Brussels. In the late 1970s and 1980s he continued his theological studies and did his doctorate and habilitation in Munich with Erich Feifel . At the same time, Köster worked as a department head and speaker at Missio Munich. He supported Lea Ackermann in founding SOLWODI . He worked with her in many contexts. After serving in pastoral care in Munich, Baldham and on Lake Starnberg, Fritz Köster moved to Boppard-Hirzenach in 1988, from where he continued to teach throughout Germany with lectures.
