Fritz Lichtstein

Fritz Lichtstein (* 1902 ; † March 6, 1932 ) was an Austrian ice hockey goalkeeper , hockey player , referee and official and also a tennis player .

life and career

Lichtstein started as a hockey goalkeeper in 1918 at the Verein für Bewegungsspiele before moving to the Vienna AC in 1920 . During a stay in Germany he played at SC Frankfurt 1880 and in France at Stade Francais .

From 1929 he was also active as an ice hockey goalkeeper for the Vienna Ice Skating Club .

He played for the Austrian national hockey team at the Summer Olympics in 1928 and for the Austrian national ice hockey team at the European ice hockey championship in 1929 and the 1930 ice hockey world championship .

In addition to the sports of ice hockey and hockey, he also played tennis in Vienna's AC .

In hockey he also worked as a functionary and referee.
