Fritz Rauch

Friedrich Rauch (born January 11, 1867 in Rottweil , † November 1, 1916 in Memmingen ) was a German pharmacist and botanist.

Life

Fritz Rauch completed an apprenticeship with the pharmacist Richard Blezinger (1847–1928) in Crailsheim from 1884 to 1887 , which aroused his interest in botany. After three years as an assistant, Rauch studied pharmacy at the University of Munich , where he passed the state examination in 1892. He then studied botany , chemistry and physics at the University of Giessen . At the University of Erlangen , he completed his academic training with a doctorate. phil. 1895 from. After a temporary stay in North America , Rauch worked for a few years in a pharmacy in Haiti before buying the Elefanten Pharmacy in Memmingen in 1902 , which he owned until his death.

Due to his world experience in Memmingen, Rauch was considered a respected man. During his stay in Haiti, he held the post of Deputy Governor.
