Fritz Roessler

Fritz Roessler (born June 27, 1870 in Frankfurt am Main , † November 17, 1937 in Königstein im Taunus ) was a German industrialist.

Life

Roessler studied chemistry at the University of Heidelberg , the Bergakademie Clausthal and the University of Berlin. In 1891 he became a member of the Corps Suevia in Heidelberg . After completing his studies, which he completed in Berlin in 1894 with a doctorate to become Dr. phil. graduated, in 1894 he joined the German gold and silver refinery founded by his father Heinrich Roessler . Roessler a. He headed the company as director until 1923 and was then chairman of the supervisory board.

Roessler was a member of the supervisory boards of Metallgesellschaft AG , Voigt & Haeffner AG in Frankfurt am Main, Adlerwerke vorm. Heinrich Kleyer AG , Matthes & Weber AG in Duisburg and the Darmstädter und Nationalbank KGaA . From 1926 to 1937 he was president of the Physikalischer Verein several times .

From 1913 to 1923 he was a city councilor in the Frankfurt magistrate. The University of Frankfurt awarded him in 1923 the honorary doctorate of Dr. rer. pole. hc and made him an honorary citizen.
