From Beginning to End (Original title: From Beginning to End , Portuguese for "From the beginning to the end") is a feature film by the Brazilian director aluizio abranches from the year 2009 . He tells the incestuous love story between the two half-brothers Tomaz and Francisco.
action
The action begins in 1986 with the birth of Tomaz. Six years later, the film shows the close relationship, characterized by mutual protection and affection, between the two brothers, who grow up with their mother Julieta and her second husband Alexandre. After the mother's death - Francisco and Tomaz are now 25 and 20 years old - the close brotherly relationship turns into a love affair. When Tomaz, a talented swimmer, receives the offer to train for three years in Moscow in preparation for the Olympic Games, the two brothers are separated for the first time in their lives. The brothers stay in touch via the internet. During one of the video calls, Tomaz becomes a little jealous for no reason. After a young woman from Francisco's circle of friends tried in vain to seduce him, not knowing that he was in a gay love affair with his half-brother, Francisco decided to travel to Tomaz. In the last scene the two embrace each other.

The film was filmed almost exclusively in Rio de Janeiro . The vacation scenes in Argentina were shot directly in Buenos Aires .

On its premiere weekend in Brazil in November 2009, the film was only shown in nine cinemas. Nevertheless, it recorded more than 10,000 viewers. In 2010 it was on the Seattle International Film Festival program . The cinema release in Germany was November 11, 2010.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack was released in December 2009 and became a huge hit in Brazil. The 80-minute album brings together several great artists from Brazilian pop music such as Maria Bethânia , Angela Ro Ro, Simone and Zizi Possi.
