The football district league Cottbus 1960 was the ninth season of the football district league Cottbus of the German Football Association . Once again, this year's Cottbus district league was held in a round-robin tournament with twelve teams, based on the Soviet model . The BSG Aufbau Großräschen prevailed due to the better goal difference in front of the BSG activist BKK Lauchhammer and thus rose to the 2nd GDR league. Since the district league was expanded for the coming season, there were no relegated teams this season.
