Fuad Ibrahimov (born September 2, 1982 in Shusha ( Nagorno-Karabakh ), Azerbaijan .) Is an Azerbaijani conductor , director of the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra , chief conductor of the New Munich Philharmonic and the Baku Chamber Orchestra, Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic .

biography

Fuad Ibrahimov was born in Shusha  / Azerbaijan in 1982  . At the age of 15 he got his first job as a violist in the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra. At the same time he began studying the viola at the local music academy with Tofik Aslanov and Bayandur Mekhtiyev. After completing his diploma in 2002, he continued this at the Cologne University of Music in the Rainer Moog class. After completing his soloist  diploma , he continued his studies in Michael Luig's conducting class from 2006 and passed the diploma examination in conducting with the top grade in 2011. During this time Ibrahimov received a scholarship from the Friends of Azerbaijani Culture Foundation , as well as the Dr. Carl Dörcken-Werner Richard Foundation and performed concerts in n German cities under the patronage of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation. In 2010 he also received a DAAD award for excellent performance by foreign students at German universities.

Since his childhood Fuad Ibrahimov has given concerts nationally and internationally as a soloist and as a member of various chamber ensembles and orchestras. Significantly inspired by masterclasses etc. a. with  Mstyslaw Rostropowitsch , who had a particular impact on him, he placed a special focus on working with highly talented young musicians early on in his own conduct. In 2008 he took part in the “ Young Euro Classic ” festival in Berlin for the first time with the “Azerbaijan Young Philharmonic” founded on his initiative . In 2010 he supervised a joint project between German music schools and the Venezuelan “ El Sistema ” and worked in Venezuela with the “Sinfonica” of the state of Guárico, among others  . 

Ibrahimov has the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London), Orchester Symphonique de Mulhouse (France), Nord Czech Philharmonic, the MDR-Sinfonieorchester  (Leipzig), the Staatskapelle Halle , the Göttingen and Nuremberg Symphony Orchestras, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen , the Vienna Chamber Orchestra , the critical Orchestra Berlin directed. In 2012 he took over his first independent opera production as a guest conductor with the Cologne  Gürzenich Orchestra at the Cologne Opera . 2013–2015 he received re-invitations to the Cologne Gürzenich Orchestra . In June 2011 he was invited by Fabio Luisi to the “Pacific Music Festival” in Japan.
