description

Furcraea quicheensis forms a single or slightly branched, 1 to 1.5 meter (rarely up to 2 meter) long trunk. The linear-lanceolate, broadly pointed leaves are gradually narrowed towards their base. Their green- blue , flattened, somewhat leathery and rough leaf blades are 90 to 120 centimeters long (rarely up to 180 centimeters) and 6 to 11 centimeters wide. Its hardened tip is tightly rounded and blunt. On the narrow, somewhat horny, yellow leaf margins there are tiny, straight, yellowish marginal teeth that are 1 to 2 millimeters apart.

The narrow inflorescence reaches a height of 2 to 5 meters and is less than 1 meter wide. The bracts are two to three times longer than the 20 to 35 millimeters long, bare flower stalks . The six to ten flowers standing together are 50 to 70 millimeters in length (rarely from 40 millimeters). Your elliptical, greenish yellow tepals are 30 to 60 millimeters long and 10 millimeters wide. The stamens are 10 to 13 millimeters long. The bald ovary is 20 to 35 millimeters long. Stylus is about 15 millimeters long.

The elongated, short-billed fruits reach a length of 5 to 8 centimeters and a width of 2 to 3 centimeters. They contain seeds 10 millimeters long and 6 millimeters wide .
