The Gärberbach rises between Tamerlanhöhe ( 2376 m above sea level ) in the north, Gumpedall ( 2092 m above sea level ) in the east and Steinrastl ( 2184 m above sea level ). It flows first to the west and after a little more than a kilometer takes the Windisch valley on the right.
