The Góra Kościuszki ( German Luisenhain ) is a 103 meter high elevation in Gdansk in Poland . It is located in the Oliwa ( Oliva ) district.

In the years 1186-1772, the area belonged to the Cistercian - Kloster Oliva . With the first division of Poland, the property was secularized. On May 21, 1797, Queen Luise (1776–1810), King Friedrich Wilhelm III. and the archbishop Karl von Hohenzollern the abbey . The hill was named Luisenhain in memory .

In 1889 a memorial for Queen Luise and her husband was inaugurated. On July 23, 1944, war graves for German soldiers of the Second World War were laid here. They were destroyed in the fighting in 1945.

In 1946 the mountain got its current name after the Polish freedom fighter Tadeusz Kościuszko (1746-1817). In 1975 a monument to King Sigismund III was erected on the still existing base . Wasa and the 350th anniversary of the Battle of Oliwa (1627).
