Göltürkbükü is a municipality belonging to the Bodrum district in the Turkish province of Muğla .

location

The place is in the north of the Bodrum Peninsula. Göltürkbükü borders the Aegean Sea in the north and east, Gündoğan in the west and Torba in the southeast .

administration

Göltürkbükü was founded on April 18, 1999 through the merger of the formerly independent towns of Gölköy and Türkbükü . Mayor is Halil Ibrahim Kaynar.

Residents

The place has 3,250 inhabitants. In some months the number of inhabitants increases - due to second residences - up to 10,000. Göltürkbükü is a popular vacation home for Turkish high society.
