Gürece is the circle Bodrum belonging village of the province of Muğla in Turkey .
location
The center of the village is crossed by the main road leading from Bodrum (in the east) to Turgutreis (in the west). The district capital is 15 kilometers away.
history
The place was already settled in the Legian period. On the hill to the north of today's village you can still find the remains of the ancient city of Telmissos (not to be confused with Telmessos ).
tourism
Due to the lack of sea access, the place has so far received little attention from package tourism. Due to the altitude and the associated panorama , however, more and more holiday homes of the Turkish upper class are emerging on the hills above the town.
