Götz Olaf Rausch (born June 30, 1921 in Berlin ; † September 30, 1992 in Bad Kissingen , Bavaria ) was a German actor and theater director .

Life

After high school and military service, he began his acting career in 1945 at the Theater der Jugend in Munich . Further stations were the Bayerische Landesbühne, the Junge Theater, the Neue Theater, the Theater am Brunnenhof and the Theater Die Spieler .

1947-1950 he was a member at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , followed by guest appearances, among others at the Theater Bielefeld , Dortmund Theater and at the Festival at Schloss Burg . From 1956 to 1958 he was senior director at the Stadttheater Trier and from 1958 to 1960 first director at the Schlosstheater Celle .

After his last engagement at the Comedy in Basel in 1961/1962 he worked as a freelancer. Rausch made guest appearances at numerous theaters, including 1979 at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz . Since 1960 he has appeared in a large number of television productions, especially television series, including several times in the crime series Tatort . He worked extensively on the radio and was married to the actress Anneliese Wert .
