In the summer of 2000 he moved from here to the youth team at VfL Bochum , where he scored 37 goals in 40 games in the A-Junior Bundesliga in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons . After he could not agree on a new contract with VfL Bochum, he was suspended in February 2009.

In May 2012, Rot-Weiss Essen gave him notice without notice after betting against his own club. Then moved to the Turkish TFF 1st Lig to Adanaspor . In early 2013, Kaya was loaned to the third-rate Istanbul club Eyüpspor for the rest of the season .

In August 2013 he was signed by the regional division KFC Uerdingen 05 . After his return to Germany, the DFB imposed a six-month ban on Kaya until February 24, 2014 due to the betting affair in Essen. On March 8, 2014 he made his debut in the KFC jersey in a 1-1 draw against Rot-Weiss Essen .

For the 2014/15 season he moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 , for the 2016/17 season to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . In summer 2017 Kaya went to Turkey, where he played for Bugsaşspor , Fatih Karagümrük and Yeşil Bursa within a year .
