Günter Gocht
Günter Gocht (born March 23, 1938 in Leutersdorf ) is a German jazz and entertainment musician ( trumpet , trombone , composition ).
Live and act
Gocht, who has no formal music education, played in the local dance orchestra when he was 18. In 1960 he became the trumpeter and in 1969 followed his brother Joachim Gocht as director of the Astoria dance orchestra, which Harald Rudolph and Siegfried Uhlenbrock also accompanied and recorded with. He also worked as a lead trumpeter in Klaus Lenz's big band , with whom he can also be heard on recordings by Manfred Krug . He also composed for Peter Albert ( The Great Show ). Then he played in the dance orchestra of the Berliner Rundfunk and in the Grenzland wind orchestra . In 1999 he performed with the RIAS Big Band Berlin under Jiggs Whigham . In 2000 he organized the organ and brass concert , at which he interpreted classics by contemporary popular composers. Gocht lives in the former miller's house of the Klingermühle on the outskirts of Leutersdorf.
