Günter Vollmer

Günter Vollmer (born March 10, 1940 in Engelskirchen ) is a German chemist and university professor for chemistry and its didactics and founder of the Institute for Companies & Schools, which sets up learning partnership networks between schools and companies.

Life

The son of an editor studied chemistry in Bonn and graduated in 1965. He was 1969 Doctor of Science doctorate . In 1978 he completed his habilitation at the University of Education in the Rhineland in the Bonn department and in the same year became a full professor in the Neuss department. Since 1980 he worked as a university professor at the University of Düsseldorf . Until his retirement in 2005 he held the chair for chemistry and didactics.

The Enterprise & School Institute, founded in 1995, was attached to his chair. With the help of various employers' associations, the institute built in the Düsseldorf government district. Cologne and Arnsberg set up first learning partnerships and learning partnership networks. From 1999 onwards, together with the chambers of industry and commerce, the chamber of crafts and the school authorities in the Cologne administrative district and in the Mettmann district , these were consolidated and expanded across the board . In the administrative district of Cologne cooperated in 2014 under the name KURS-Köln z. B. more than 500 schools and companies based on this concept. The initiative was extended to Baden-Württemberg, Thuringia and Hesse in 2002 with the support of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) as COURSE 21 with a focus on sustainability. T. is continued under other labels. The concept of learning partnerships has also been adopted by various companies (e.g. Kaufland ) and other regions (e.g. Vechta district ).

In addition to his teaching activities, he works as a book author, author of media for training, further education and training, publisher and screenwriter as well as moderator of various video and television productions.
