Günther Steeb

Günther Steeb (born August 23, 1931 in Gerstetten ) is a German economist and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1951 at the Realgymnasium in Esslingen am Neckar , Steeb completed a FH degree at the Stuttgart State Administration School from 1952 to 1955 , which he completed with an examination as an administrative administrator for the upper class. At the end of 1955 he began studying economics at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , which he completed in November 1959 with an examination as a qualified economist. His doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. took place in 1962 with Professor Rudolf Johns (dissertation: The follow-up costs of communal settlements and their financing ).

Steeb worked for the Städtische Spar- und Girokasse Stuttgart from April 1960, first became a manager of the bank and was its director from 1970. After merging with Württembergische Landessparkasse in 1975 to form Landesgirokasse Stuttgart , he was also its director until he left in 1981. In addition, he worked as a lecturer in economics at the Academy for Business Administration and World Trade Languages in Stuttgart in the 1970s . He joined the CDU and became state chairman of the CDU Baden-Württemberg's SME and Business Association . From January 10, 1969, when he replaced the retired MP Friedrich Schock , until 1980 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In the state elections in 1976 he won a direct seat in the constituency of Schorndorf .

In 1981 he became a managing partner of the Schwäbische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH in Stuttgart and an independent corporate and financial advisor in Remshalden .
