Güzelsu (kurd. Xoşap ) is a small town in southeast Anatolia . It is located in the district of Gürpınar in the Turkish province of Van around 40 km east of Gürpınar at almost 2000 m above sea level. Güzelsu had 1,756 inhabitants in 2010, but is also the capital of the eponymous Bucak , which comprises 31 villages and had 20,762 inhabitants in the same year.

Güzelsu ("beautiful water") is located at the foot of the castle ruins Hoşap , whose name is of Persian origin and also means "beautiful water". Hoşab was the former name of the village. The administrative unit was called Mamüretülhamid ("The City of Hamids"), after the Ottoman regent Abdülhamid II.
