Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin (* 1947 in Iwere-Ile , Nigeria ) is Archbishop of Ibadan .

Life

Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin received on 27 January 1968, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 3, 1995, Pope John Paul II appointed him the first bishop of Osogbo . The Apostolic Nuncio in Nigeria, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò , donated him episcopal ordination on May 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Oyo , Julius Babatunde Adelakun , and the Bishop of Ijebu-Ode , Albert Ayinde Fasina .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Ibadan on October 29, 2013. The inauguration took place on January 24 of the following year.
