Gabriela Vránová (born July 27, 1939 in Nové Mesto nad Váhom ; † June 16, 2018 in Prague ) was a Czech film actress and theater teacher and a long-time member of the Prague theater Divadlo na Vinohradech .

Life

Vránová was born in Nové Mesto nad Váhom into a family of teachers and spent her childhood in Brno . After graduating from JAMU in 1960, she worked for two years at the Moravian-Silesian National Theater in Ostrava , then at the invitation of the director Luboš Pistorius at the Prague Theater in Vinohrady, where she was active from 1962 to 2004 and from 2012 to 2016.

She worked in a number of film and television productions. In 2004 she received the František Filipovský Prize for her work in dubbing. From 1974 she taught temporarily at the Prague Conservatory .

With her second husband, the high school professor of mathematics Jiří Kepka, she gave birth to her son Ondřej Kepka in 1969 .

She died on June 16, 2018 at the age of 78 and was buried in Vinohrady.
