Gabriele Friderich (born July 31, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German geographer and was a municipal civil servant in Munich and State Councilor ( The Greens ) at the Senator for the Environment, Building and Transport in Bremen .

biography

After graduating from high school, Friderich studied geography, town planning, spatial planning and regional planning at the Technical University of Munich until 1984 .

She was then, among other things, parliamentary group assistant for the Greens in Munich, became a personal assistant to the municipal officer and worked in the planning department. From 1990 to 1996 she was an honorary city councilor in Munich.

In 1998 she was elected municipal officer and responsible for real estate, waste management , the surveying office and also for the Munich markets .

In September 2011, Friderich was appointed State Councilor for the Environment to the Bremen Senator for Environment, Building and Transport Joachim Lohse (The Greens). She took over the areas of environment and central matters in the Senate department, while State Councilor Wolfgang Golasowski headed the areas of construction and transport. From September 2015 she headed the areas of construction and transport; Ronny Meyer took over her previous area of ​​responsibility. Friderich retired in mid-2017; Jens Deutschendorf became her successor.

Friderich has a daughter.
