Jens Deutschendorf (born July 30, 1977 in Arolsen , Hessen ) is a German engineer and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). Since January 2019 he has been State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing . Previously he was Bremen State Councilor at the Senator for Environment, Building and Transport (SUBV).

biography

Deutschendorf grew up in the North Hessian Twist valley. He studied urban planning and graduated as a Dipl.-Ing. from. He has been a member of the Greens since 1994 and has been one of the chairmen of the Greens district association Waldeck-Frankenberg in Hesse since 2004 . From around 2008 to 2011 he worked as a research assistant for the Bundestag member Nicole Maisch (Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen). Since August 2011 he has been deputy district administrator in the Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg , where he is the department head for construction, transport, the environment, education and health.

As the successor to Gabriele Friderich , he was appointed to the State Council for the construction and transport sector in Bremen in 2017 and represented Senator Joachim Lohse (Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen) in this sector .

Deutschendorf was appointed State Secretary of State Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Alliance 90 / The Greens) on January 18, 2019 when the Bouffier III cabinet was formed in the Hessian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing . As a colleague of Philipp Nimmermann , he was responsible for the areas of energy, transport and housing in the ministry.

Deutschendorf is married and has two children.
