Leonhard Lutz
Leonhard "Leo" Lutz (born November 24, 1913 in Nuremberg ; † December 5, 1975 in Munich ) was a German industrial manager and from 1964 to 1967 State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Economics.

Lutz, son of a chemical manufacturer, studied economics and business administration. It was in 1938 at the then-Hindenburg University Nuremberg with a thesis entitled "Fascist and National Socialist economy - Trying a critical comparison" Dr. rer. pole. PhD.
Lutz then switched to business and worked as a corporate auditor at Gutehoffnungshütte from 1938 to 1941 , then as an assistant manager at IG Farben until the end of the war . In 1949 he became Finance Director at Th. Goldschmidt , then CFO of the Düsseldorf Schneider Group and finally Deputy General Director of Henschel in Kassel. In 1964 he moved to the Hessian Ministry of Economics and Transport as State Secretary.
On January 1, 1969, he returned to business as CEO of Gebrüder Stumm GmbH . After the group went bankrupt due to bad speculation during the first oil crisis in 1974, Lutz was imprisoned on December 4, 1975 on suspicion of infidelity and other offenses, and the day after he committed suicide in the Munich-Stadelheim correctional facility .
