Klaus-Peter Güttler

Klaus-Peter Güttler (born November 21, 1949 in Kiel ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2007 to 2009 he was State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development .

Life

Klaus-Peter Güttler attended schools in Schülp and Büsum from 1954 to 1968 , completing his school career in 1968 with the Abitur at the Nordsee-Gymnasium Büsum . After the subsequent civil service until 1969, he began studying law and political science, for which he attended the universities of Hamburg and Marburg (Lahn) . In 1974 he passed his first state examination in law, and in 1977 his second. In between, he did a legal clerkship in the district court district of Marburg (Lahn). From August 1977 Güttler worked for the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development, where he was promoted to head of the transport department in 1996; he held this post until 2003, after which he was head of the transport and road construction department.

Klaus-Peter Güttler is a Protestant and has two children.

Klaus-Peter Güttler is a member of the SPD. He is a councilor in Idstein's magistrate and a member of the Rheingau-Taunus district council .

In February 2007 he succeeded Bernd Abeln as State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development. From September 1, 2009 to March 31, 2014, he was managing director of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund and from May 1, 2011 to November 30, 2013, managing director of the Nordhessischer Verkehrsverbund .
